A recruitment introduction can be specific without pretending to know an employer’s internal problems. The strongest starting point is an observation you can verify and an explanation of why your experience is relevant. The rest should remain a question until the company answers.
Check availability and identity
Open the listing from the employer’s own careers site. Confirm the company, title, location and application route. Aggregated results can contain expired listings, duplicates or roles belonging to another entity with a similar name.
If the page redirects to a general careers page, do not assume the original role is still open. Record the uncertainty and choose a different verified source or revisit later. A missing source weakens the reason for referencing that vacancy in an introduction.
Read what the listing says, not what you hope it implies
A public vacancy may indicate hiring activity. It does not, by itself, establish team growth, a failed search, a retained budget or a need for external help. Several role pages may be different locations for one requisition.

Make a useful, proportionate introduction
A simple writing structure is: “I saw your public listing for [role]. I specialize in [relevant discipline and market]. Would it be useful to discuss [specific service you can actually provide]?” Replace the placeholders and avoid claiming candidate availability or past results that are not true.
The worksheet does not send that message. Use it to decide whether you have enough evidence and relevance to consider a conversation. Coordinate with your existing account process, respect the recipient’s response, and recheck sources when returning to an old research brief.
