A job listing is evidence of a published role. It is not proof that the employer wants agency support, that a vacancy is difficult to fill, or that a budget exists for your service. A short qualification checklist helps you separate the observation from the business-development hypothesis.
Verify the primary source
Open the employer’s careers page or its linked applicant-tracking page. Confirm that the role remains available and record the date you checked it. A copied listing on another site may be out of date.
Capture the role title, location and relevant wording. If the source disappeared, treat the item as needing another check rather than continuing to describe it as current. Keep the source URL so a colleague can reproduce the observation.
Match the work to your recruiting desk
Compare the function, seniority, location and employment type with the work you can actually support. A company hiring engineers may still be a poor fit for a recruiter whose network is confined to another discipline or geography.
For an illustrative platform-engineering desk, a current senior platform role is a reason to investigate. It is not enough to claim a hiring surge. Look at the employer’s other listings and avoid counting the same requisition in several locations as several distinct roles.
